Common ACP Questions

  • How do I register to earn dual credit for ACP courses?

    Registration for fall 2017 and year-long 2017/18 ACP courses opens September 11, 2017 and will remain open through October 13, 2017.

    Note: You will need your IU Username/passphrase information to access the ACP Registration module. If you have not set up this information, see "Creating an IU Computing Account" below.

  • I have received a registration error message or there is a Hold on my record.

    Please refer to this chart to troubleshoot and resolve your registration issue.
    If you receive an error message not listed below, please contact ACP--see "My problem is not listed here" in the questions below. 

    ERROR ACTION
    I am trying to register but I am receiving an error message stating I am not authorized as an ACP studentThis message indicates that your application may not be fully processed or you have not yet been activated to register for the current term. Please Contact ACP for assistance. *Be sure to include your full name and the name of your high school in your message.
    I received an "Internal Server Error" when I tried to register.Often this error occurs if the username/passphrase combo does not match what is in the IU system.To check your login information:
    • Login to One.IU
    • If login fails, you may need to Reset Your Passphrase. (Please allow 20-30 minutes before attempting to login with new passphrase.
    • If login is successful, the issue is not with your sign-in information but some other problem. Contact ACP for assistance. *Be sure to include your full name and the name of your high school in your message.
    There is an Immunization Hold on my record.Per Indiana law, students are required to provide proof of immunization status to be an IU student. Normally, this Hold is suppressed for ACP students. However, if you find this Hold was placed on your account, it is simple to resolve.
    •  Login to One.IU.
    • Using the search bar, search "ACP"
    • Select the Advance College Project (ACP) Task Center
    • Select Immunization Compliance and complete form -- you do not need to upload any records. Just read-acknowledge-submit.
    There is a Citizenship Hold on my record.

    Students over the age of 18 are required to verify citizenship to be eligible for financial aid. This Hold is normally suppressed for ACP students. However, if you find this Hold was placed on your account, it is simple to resolve:

    • Log in to One.IU.

    • Using the search bar, search "ACP"

    • Select the Advance College Project (ACP) Task Center

    • Select Citizenship Verification and complete form

  • I don't know my 10-digit University ID or IU Username

  • Creating an IU Computing Account

    An IU computing account will make IU resources available to you, as well as enabling you to receive email at an IU address, and access Canvas. For additional information, see the IU Knowledge Base article "About creating first computing accounts...".

  • Resetting IU Passphrase

    Click the button below to reset your IU Passphrase. For additional information, see the IU Knowledge Base article "How do I reset my IU Network ID passphrase?".

  • Updating my Email Address

  • I need to request an IU Transcript

    IU Transcripts are ordered through the IU Registrar.
