This tutorial will guide you through the ACP registration process.
Before Getting Started:
- You will not be able to access Canvas or register for your class if you do not have a University ID Number and/or have not completed Assignment Zero/IU IT Setup.
- Access to a desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile device is required.
- If your school uses Canvas, please note that IU’s Canvas is a separate entity so you will still need to completethis registration.
You’ll first need to navigate to Canvas.IU.edu. Once there, click the login button and login using your IU username and passphrase. This will take you to the DUO login screen. Send a push to your device then approve it.
You’ll be directed to your IU Canvas dashboard. If you’ve setup your IU IT and have waited 72 hours for processing, you’ll see an invitation to ACP registration at the top of your dashboard. If you don’t have an invite and have waited 72 hours after IT setup, please contact the ACP office by emailing email@example.com or calling 800-255-7943 M-F 9am-4pm.
Accept the invitation if you haven’t already done so and double click on the ACP course on your dashboard.
The title will read “ACP Registration” followed by your respective IU campus, semester, and year.
Please read the “About ACP” and “Benefits for Students” sections, making special note of the information regarding tuition & fees before pressing the blue “Click to Begin” button.
On the following page, click on the “ACP Program Overview.” This will take you to a short quiz that asks 6 questions. This won’t take long at all. Please read the instructions, then click “Take the quiz.”
After reading question one, mark that you understand, then click “Next.”
Make sure to read the important information provided & repeat these steps for questions, 2, 3, 4, & 5. Question 6 will ask you to provide your parent or guardian’s email address. This won’t be used to send out grades or personal data. It’ll only be used to provide parents & guardians with information about Advance College Project.
After question 6, review your answers then click “Next” at the bottom of the screen.
Read through Dual Credit Frequently Asked Questions then click “Next”.
This will take you to the ACP Online Registration portal. Click the red “Click here to register” button to begin selecting your IU courses taught through the Advance College Project.
On the next page, you’ll want to confirm that your Name, University ID# and High School are correct. Review the information provided, then click the blue “Get Started” button.
The next screen will show you your current IU enrollments, if any, and provide a list of what classes are available at your high school. Please select the courses you want and, if necessary, your respective instructor and section, then click the blue “Continue” button in the bottom right hand corner.
On the next page, you’ll see the courses you selected followed by Terms and Conditions that you should read carefully. They contain vital information regarding your eligibility, IU college transcript, and financial obligations. After reading, click the Agreement Confirmation, then click the blue “enroll” button.
Once you receive confirmation on the next page, congratulations: you’ll know you have successfully completed registration for Indiana University courses taught through Advance College Project. You can then click “log out”, close your browser, and enjoy the rest of your day.
