Support for ACP Instructors
ACP equips instructors to teach IU curriculum and university learning outcomes in the high school classroom. IU coursework taught through ACP is designed to enhance critical thinking with goals that are relevant and timely with real-world applicability. ACP also provides professional development opportunities through IU campuses.
- Tuition coverage for IU graduate coursework: ACP Instructors who need additional graduate courses or a graduate degree to meet HLC faculty requirements are eligible to have tuition for approved IU graduate coursework fully covered by ACP through the IU Dual Credit Pipeline.
- IU faculty partnership: Course-specific preparation and ongoing support from faculty in the sponsoring department.
- Professional community: Opportunities to learn alongside ACP Instructors and IU colleagues in your discipline.
- Curricular materials: An allotment is supplied to you to purchase books and materials to assist in teaching IU courses through ACP.
- Access to IU resources: While teaching IU courses through ACP you have access to many IU resources including libraries, databases, learning management tools, and software packages.
Earn graduate credits & HLC credentials
The IU Dual Credit Pipeline provides a sustainable approach for Indiana teachers to meet the faculty credential requirements that took effect on September 1, 2025. Through IU graduate coursework and ongoing support, the Pipeline helps eligible ACP teachers gain the credentials and preparation needed to teach high-quality college courses.
